SENIOR ART DIRECTOR
Sometimes fate lends a hand. That’s how Shana Preuett found her way to Factory. She’d been gearing up for a career in advertising since she could hold a pencil. In high school, she studied Photoshop, Illustrator and (for some reason) Quark. Her college years were spent at the Illinois Institute of Art and the International Academy of Art & Design. That’s when fate got involved. Shana’s first agency job was at Team Detroit (previously JWT, subsequently GTB). Then she spent five years as in-house designer at the Zoup! restaurant chain. When it was time to get back to agency life, she reached out to her Team Detroit boss – who was now Factory’s head of design, Izabela Skonieczka. Turns out, we were looking to add a talented, experienced designer. Fate! When Shana’s not bending the universe to her will, she loves drawing, painting, cooking, hiking, snowboarding, kayaking, yoga, her cats and her husband, Andrew. Not necessarily in that order.
